REACH by TSGE

REACH

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals) Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 entered into force on 1 June 2007.

The Regulation has had a major impact on the chemical industry (worldwide) that manufacture or import chemicals, preparations and articles in or to the EU. Some chemical products, such as pharmaceuticals, biocides or pesticides are partially exempt but the companies involved may still have obligations under REACH.

The obligations placed on the chemical industry to comply with REACH require regulatory expertise and specialist, scientific support.

TSGE has been at the forefront in supporting companies with their obligations. Our scientists cover all disciplines required by REACH with human health and environmental experts, ecotoxicologists, physical chemists and experienced risk assessors.

Our projects include preparing technical dossiers and chemical safety reports. We have also been involved in other registration tasks including data completeness checks, data collation and retrieval, waivers, valuation, proposing/commissioning of new studies and archiving of data.

TSGE’s experienced consultants offer full technical support, project management, a consortium management service and representation of companies in Substance Information Exchange Forums (SIEFs).

As a non-EU supplier cannot register under the EU REACH regulation, the obligation to register falls with the importer unless the non-EU exporter to the EU decides to appoint an Only Representative to fulfil their REACH obligations. The diligence, skills and experience of our consultants allow TSGE to offer this service and as an independent consultancy, we are also able to act as a Third Party Representative in situations where a registrant wishes to remain anonymous.

Further information on REACH can be obtained from the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). If you would like any further information on our services, please do not hesitate to contact us or download our brochure.
